On the heels of Neurodiversity Celebration Week, Disability In: Washington, a non-profit organization whose mission focuses on assisting its network of business partners on driving performance through disability inclusion in the workplace, is hosting a free webinar featuring Joe Riddle, Director of Neurodiversity in the Workplace, focused on learning more about neurodiversity and neuroinclusive hiring and employment practices.

The webinar takes from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. April 27.

Neuroinclusion is an important dimension of diversity, equity and inclusion efforts that has long been ignored in organizations considering that 1 in 7 people are neurodivergent.

The word “neurodiversity” is showing up more frequently in business magazines and HR materials—what does it mean? How does it show up? Why does it matter? Attendees will learn to  define, discover, and discuss the continuum of how people experience life and explore ways to embrace and maximize the value of different ways of seeing the world and our work.

The webinar will discuss:

  • Information about the barriers that exist for neurodivergent job seekers and employees
  • Explore simple strategies to remove those barriers and create a more neuroinclusive environment
