Relates to free speech. Criminalize some speech as ‘Domestic Violence Extremism’

  • It establishes a 13-member panel which will determine what constitutes disinformation and misinformation rising to the level of “domestic violence extremism”.
  • The panel’s duties include evaluating data-tracking recommendation around domestic violent extremism, including how data is collected, what triggers data collection, and how to ensure data is not disproportionately used against black, indigenous, and people of color communities or other communities.
  • The panel would collect data on incidents at their discretion and could classify noncriminal activities or speech as such.
