The ICSEW is recruiting for a new executive chair.

As executive chair of the ICSEW, you will have the opportunity to use your leadership skills to guide a dynamic committee made up of diverse state employees.

Responsibilities include presiding over general membership and executive board meetings, communicate recommendations to the governor, appoint positions to the ICSEW executive board, serve a designated spokesperson for ICSEW in public forums and provide other duties as needed.

The ICSEW’s mission is to better the lives of state employees by advising the governor and agencies on polices that affect state-employed women. Its vision is enriching lives through advocacy, outreach and opportunity. The major focus of the ICSEW to identify and advocate issues faced by state-employed women. As chair, you will be supporting the work of eight subcommittees that work on projects related to the ICSEW values of wellbeing, advocacy, leadership, integrity, fostering growth and empowerment.

How to Apply

The position of ICSEW executive chair is appointed by the governor. The term will begin in January of 2021. The executive chair serves at the pleasure of the governor, and does not have a term limit.

ICSEW is Recruiting a Public Outreach Chair


ICSEW is looking for someone to lead its Public Outreach subcommittee!

The subcommittee chair is a non-paid volunteer position and is part of the ICSEW Executive Board.

This position will give you you  opportunity to help shape how ICSEW serves state employed women.

Some of what you’ll do:

  • Help members of the public understand the work of ICSEW
  • Coordinate tabling events at information fairs sponsored by state agencies
  • Collaborate with executive board members on decision-making activities
  • Hone your leadership skills by leading a subcommittee

The ideal candidate will enjoy interfacing with the public, have an eye for details and like logistics and event planning.

ICSEW is Recruiting a Treasurer


The ICSEW is recruiting a treasurer on its executive board!

What you’ll be doing:

  • Produce the ICSEW budget
  • Track expenditures and revenues
  • Provide information on budget at regular membership meetings and as requested

If you enjoy working with numbers and have a passion for fiscal responsibility, this position may be for you.

Note: This position is a volunteer position with the ICSEW and has no compensation. It’s open to all current representatives and alternate representatives in good standing.
