Recently a group of state employees started a conversation with the Office of Financial Management about creating a Business Resource Group for those employees identifying as Asian, Pacific Islander, and Native Hawaiian.
Business Resource Groups are cross-agency employee-led groups that undertake initiatives with the support of OFM to improve enterprise business outcomes, increase employee engagement, amplify employee voice and support the infrastructure to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion. Executive Order 21-01 - Affirming Washington State Business Resource Groups charges OFM with authority to approve and support new statewide BRGs.
Discussions are still at an infancy stage. Adding voices from across the enterprise is critical to move forward. We welcome your perspectives. The momentum of these conversations has built up, but we need your help.
