It’s that time again! Our annual toiletries drive for The Other Bank kicks off on July 10. Attached is a flyer to help spread the word and encourage our co-workers to join in the effort.
The Other Bank in Olympia provides free personal hygiene products to more than 20,000 local low-income individuals and families annually. These products are necessary items that cannot be purchased with food benefits and are essential to maintaining optimal health and personal care. More than 95% of their hygiene products come from donors.
Highly Needed Items:
•Menstrual Pads and Tampons
•Liquid Hand Soap (no bar soap)
•Travel/Trial Size Hygiene Kits (unopened)
All items must be unused. Partially used products will not be accepted.
The Other Bank can no longer accept the following: cosmetics, hair styling products/tools, perfume/cologne, medicine, contact lens solution, supplements/vitamins, toys, food.
If you are unable to contribute to The Other Bank, but would like to donate to your local YWCA, please visit http://www.ywca.org/site/apps/kb/cs/contactsearch.asp?c=cuIRJ7NTKrLaG&b=7527667&state=WA&submit=submit for a list of local YWCA associations.
As your agency coordinator, I welcome your questions and thank you in advance for your generosity. In 2016, this drive collected $10,800.00 worth of toiletries to help women and families in Thurston County. Let us work to make the 2017 drive an even bigger success.
