2018 Charitable Giving – ICSEW Public Outreach
ICSEW strives to promote and stay involved with organizations in local communities that share ICSEW’s values. The main way we do this is through collection drives for charities at our membership meetings. ICSEW has selected Interfaith Works as its featured charity for 2018.
About InterFaith Works:
InterFaith Works is a 42 bed vulnerability-based emergency nightly shelter. All genders are welcome. Couples stay together whenever possible. Service animals and companion pets are accepted. Sobriety is not required, no ID is required for entry. Those who use the shelter must be over the age of 18. InterFaith Works accepts single adults and couples without dependent children who are living with serious, persistent challenges related to physical, mental and substance use related health issues. The shelter prioritizes women, people who are over 50 and people who consider themselves to have a disability. InterFaith Works has a navigation team along with holistic medical support. It also provides lockers, an address to receive mail, and a phone number for messages, a clothing closet and transportation. It also has a replacement ID card fund and a domestic violence fund.
