Women’s Commission

About the Subcommittee

During the 2018 legislative session, a bill was passed to form a Women’s Commission. The goal of the Commission is to further the development of public policy to improve the well-being of women and to be a focal point in state government for the needs of women.

Our State Representatives believe that it is of the utmost importance for all citizens to achieve equal opportunity, and that women specifically face unique problems and needs. This is central to ICSEW’s mission.

This is the newest subcommittee for ICSEW and this subcommittee is working to shape the relationship with the Women’s Commission, leverage the power of ICSEW’s membership and really have an impact on policy that directly affects women. In addition, the subcommittee will be focusing on the portion of the bill that the Women’s Commission must provide staffing support to ICSEW.
